An established part of the Norwich entertainment landscape, Cinema City, Dining Rooms & Bar are situated in Suckling House, a beautiful 17th century former merchants house. Our team carefully carried out an extensive programme of work whilst the busy city centre venue remained open to the public. A new staircase was installed together with disabled access lifts and toilet facilities. The Dining Room kitchen was extended and refurbished to include a brand-new walk-in fridge freezer. The John Hurt Centre function room was extended and upgraded to high specification.

“In 2016 NPB completed a significant capital project at Cinema City (on behalf of the charity Cinema City Ltd) to refurbish its previous film education facilities into a new, accessible learning and community space, The John Hurt Centre. To renovate the grade 1 listed buildings at Cinema City was a demanding task to say the least, but with architect Charles Emberson leading on this project with the support of Chartered Surveyors Andrew Morton Associates, NPB executed the building works in a professional manner, on time and on budget and responded well and adapted to the various challenges along the way. Jamie, Ali and your team, it was a pleasure working with you and many thanks again for all your hard work”
